It is a movie which i think can b compared to the top movies of the world. Pls, try different genres. Its me again sir…i like all ur films and in spl its anniyan…my favorite dialog is “ellarum seirathunala thappu seri aagidathu”…best one ever sir…also i like ur boys film..i dunno wy ppl criticized it alone when film of the same type wr appreciated by the critics…this film had a great theme with a punch den look alike film…then u silenced every1 with ever best made film anniyan…ur combo with sujatha rocks…dialogs are fantastic…my birthday is always a spl as i share it with the SUPER STAR…give us more films lik anniyan and indian..india/world should be without any corruption…i av seen many ppl following rules after 2005..all cos of anniyan effect…gr8 work sir..keep giving films lik tat…also one more request as a COUNTAMANI fan..bring the COUNTAMANI and SENTHIL combo back..u r d man who can make it happen again…once again wishes for ur ENTHIRAN team…

I saw you the first time acting as a helper in one of the movies behind a villain. You have had a tremendous growth and I am sure you have worked really hard for that.
Right now, I am studying abroad. It will be great if you release the movie in US with English subtitles. Many of my North Indian friends are still ignorant of the greatness of Tamil Movies. I can show your movie to make them understand that.

I was wondering if you could confirm some cats members so confusion doesn’t arise like it did in Sivaji (where people thought Prakash Raj/Amitabh Bachchan/Mallika Sherawat) was a part of the film.

Am a greates fan of Our thalaivar since my childhood days and it gives me greatest pleasure that you both have joined hands together..
my only suggestion is that definitely all the fans will enjoy thalaivar only if there is punch dialogue with his sharp piercing looks in a close up shot with a terrific BGM.
According to me this only keeps all the fans in greatest bond with the fans or any people..
This only keeps us in charge throughout even after coming out of the theatre..
this is my request on behlf of all our fans..

Hi Sir,
In recent interviews, AR Rahman had said that he hates the word Bollwood since it limits the spectrum of Indian Cinema. This is very true. After he won the oscars, other country people have started noticing Indian Cinema but still only Bollywood is given priority. I sincerely wish that this should change. Even North people are not aware of what Tamil cine industry is capable of. I heard that Robo is releasing in Hindi too. In case, if it is not so, then please RELEASE ROBO DUBBED IN HINDI OR WITH ENGLISH SUB-TITLES. I am sure that many other state people will watch if this is done and they will know how good Tamil industry is. I know the impact Sivaji created in Mumbai since I was there at that time. Many north people wanted to watch it but they didnt watch just because they cannot understand. I want more people to watch our Tamil movies. I saw the latest stills of our Superstar, he looks awesome. He rocks even at 60

Hoping Endhiran will be an awesome movie . Out of all your movies , my fav is Indian. It had a superbly executed screenplay, gripping storyline, slapstick comedy and spellbinding background score from rahman and of course great acting from kamal. I can actually talk on and on about things that i liked in Indian. Please make another movie in the lines of Indian.of course my other favs are Gentleman,Mudhalvan, anniyan.

Ur often as spielberg of indian cinema, I think ur unique talent and much more talented than spielberg,you can do a much better stuff than any hollywood director if given the resources(budget). Hope Enthiran would be the biggest ever blockbuster in indian cinema and wish hollywood movies take clue from endhiran.

திரையரங்க ஆப்ரேட்டராக சில காலம் வேலை செய்த எனக்கு பிரமிப்பை ஏற்படுத்திய படங்கள் மிகவும் குறைவு. அந்தக் குறைவானவற்றில் நிறைவான திருப்தியை ஏற்படுத்தியவை என்றால் உங்களின் படங்கள் அனைத்தையும் சொல்லலாம்.இதை வெறும் புகழ்ச்சி என்று நினைக்கவேண்டாம்.
பிலிம் சுருள் மறைந்து டிஜிட்டல் ஆதிக்கம் நிறைந்து வரும் இந்த நாட்களில் பிலிம் சுருள் மூலம் புரொஜக்டரில் படம் திரையிட்ட அந்த நாட்கள் எனக்கு மறக்க முடியாதவை. போட்டோபோன், வெஸ்ட்ரெக்ஸ் ஆகிய இரண்டு மெஷின்களையும் நான் இயக்கியிருக்கிறேன்.
அவை புழக்கத்தில் இருந்து ஒதுக்கப்படுவது என் மனதில் ஒரு மவுன வலியை ஏற்படுத்திவிட்டது. ஆனாலும் தொழில்நுட்ப வளர்ச்சியில் சில விஷயங்கள் கணாமல் போவது தவிர்க்கமுடியாது என்பதை நான் உணர்ந்துதான் இருக்கிறேன்.சினிமா கண்டுபிடித்து சுமார் நூறு ஆண்டுகளாக சினி புரொஜக்டரின் அடிப்படைக் கட்டமைப்பில் பெரியதாக எந்த மாறுதலும் இல்லை.இதுவே அந்த தொழில்நுட்பத்துக்கு மாபெரும் பெருமைதான்.
பல ஆண்டுகளாக ரசிகர்களை மகிழ்வித்த ஒரு கருவியை நானும் சில காலம் இயக்கியதே மனதுக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியைக் கொடுக்கிறது.

ஜென்டில்மேன் அறிமுகம்
அப்போது நான் ஏழாம் வகுப்பு படித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறேன். 1993 தீபாவளி அன்று பக்கத்து வீட்டு சிறுவன் அவன் தாத்தாவுக்கு மதிய உணவு எடுத்துச்செல்லும்போது என்னையும் துணைக்கு அனுப்புகிறார்கள்.
தாத்தா இருந்த இடம் ஒரு திரையரங்கம். சாப்பாட்டை வாங்கிய தாத்தா உடனே எங்களை வெளியில் அனுப்பவில்லை. இரண்டு டிக்கட்டுகளைக் கிழித்துக் கொடுத்து அடுத்த காட்சி மூன்று மணிக்கு. இருந்து பார்த்துட்டு போங்க என்கிறார். ஏதோ ஒரு அர்ஜூன் படம் பார்க்கப்போகிறோம் என்ற மனநிலைதான் எனக்கு.
படம் தொடங்கிய பிறகு ஹீரோவைத்தாண்டி இயக்குநர்தான் என்மனதில் நிற்கிறார். என் வயதுடைய சிறுவர்கள் ரஜினி, கமல் என்று திரையில் முகம் காட்டுபவர்களை சிலாகித்து பேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது நான் ஷங்கர் என்ற பெயரை சொன்னதும் என்னை ஒரு அன்னியனாகத்தான் முதலில் பார்த்தார்கள்.மேஜையுடன் கூடிய என்னுடைய புத்தகங்கள் வைக்கும் பீரோவின் உள்பக்கம் எதோ ஒரு வார இதழில் இருந்த ஷங்கரின் பாஸ்போர்ட் சைஸ் புகைப்படத்தையும் கபில்தேவின் புகைப்படத்தையும்தான் ஒட்டி வைத்தேன். அதன் பிறகு வேறு எதையும் வெட்டி ஒட்டவில்லை.

காதலன் பெற்ற கவனம்
காதலன் படம் வெளியான அன்றே பார்த்துவிட்டு மறுநாள் பள்ளிக்குச் சென்றபோது சக நண்பர்களிடம் நான் பேசிக் காட்டிய வசனம் எது தெரியுமா?
“என்னய்யா…புதுசா ஒரு குண்ட தூக்கிப் போடுற?”
“என் தொழிலே அதுதான…”
ஞானபீட விருது பெற்ற கன்னட எழுத்தாளர் கிரீஷ்கர்னாட் மற்றும் ரகுவரன் ஆகியோரிடையே நடைபெற்ற உரையாடலை அவர்கள் இருவருடைய மாடுலேஷனிலேயே அடிக்கடி பேசிக்காட்டுவேன்.
சக மாணவர்கள் எல்லாம் கிரீஷ்கர்னாட் பெயரையே உச்சரிக்க முடியாமல் தடுமாறுவார்கள்.அதை மிகச்சரியாக உச்சரிப்பதாலேயே என் மனதில் சிறு கர்வம் உண்டு.

இந்தியன் தந்த கம்பீரம்
ஒன்பதாம் வகுப்பு ஆண்டுத்தேர்வு விடுமுறையில் இருந்தபோதுதான் இந்தியன் வெளியானது. அப்போது நான் மற்றொரு திரையரங்கத்தில் வேலை செய்துவந்தேன்.
படம் பார்க்கச்சென்ற போது சுகன்யாவின் பிளாஷ்பேக்கில் வரும் கருப்புவெள்ளைக் காட்சிகள் அனைத்தும் இல்லை. கப்பலேறிப்போயாச்சு பாடல் மட்டுமே இருந்தது. அந்தக் காட்சிகளை வெட்டினார்களா என்பது தெரியவில்லை.
நான்காவது கேனின் பிற்பகுதி, ஐந்தாவது கேனின் முற்பகுதி ஆகியவை கருப்புவெள்ளைக் காட்சிகளைக் கொண்டிருந்ததால் புரொஜக்டரில் ஓடும்போதே இந்தக் காட்சிகளைத் தவிர்த்திருப்பார்கள் என்று நினைக்கிறேன்.
பிறகு படம் வந்து அறுபது நாட்களுக்குப் பிறகு மீண்டும் பார்க்கச் சென்றேன். அப்போது அந்தக் காட்சிகள் திரையிடப்பட்டன. சில ஆண்டுகள் கழித்து மற்றொரு திரையரங்கில் நான் வேலை செய்தபோது ஒரு வாரம் இந்தியன் படத்தை ஆசை தீர பார்த்து மகிழ்ந்தேன். படத்தின் இறுதியில் வரும் டைட்டில் முடியும் வரை கார்பன் ஒளியை நிறுத்தாமல் இருப்பதில் எனக்கு ஒரு சந்தோஷம்.

ஜீன்ஸ் தந்த பிரமிப்பு
அந்தப் படம் திருவாரூரில் ரிலீஸ் ஆகவில்லை என்பதால் நாகப்பட்டணத்தில் போய் பார்க்கலாம் என்று நானும் என் நண்பனும் திட்டமிட்டிருந்தோம். ஆனால் ஒரு கட்டிடத்தில் அன்று மேற்கூரையில் கான்கிரீட் போடும் முன்பு மின்சார வயர்களுக்காக குழாய்களைப் பொருத்தும் பணி இருந்தது. அதனால் சில வாரங்கள் கழித்து திருவாரூருக்கு அந்தப் படம் வந்தபோதுதான் பார்த்தேன். ஜாலியான கதையம்சம் கொண்ட அந்தப் படத்தில் பல காட்சிகளைப் பார்த்து நான் பிரமித்தாலும் ஏமாற்றம் தந்த காட்சி என்றால் கண்ணோடு காண்பதெல்லாம் பாடல்தான்.
பாடலும் காட்சிகளும் பிரமாதம்தான். ஆனால் இரண்டையும் பொருத்திப் பார்க்க என் மனம் விரும்பவில்லை.

என் மனதில் மட்டுமின்றி சைக்கிளிலும் இடம் பிடித்த முதல்வன்
முதல்வன் படம் துவங்கும்போது நாளிதழ் விளம்பரத்தில் A MAN OF DESTINY என்று சப் டைட்டில் கொடுத்திருந்தீர்கள். அதை என் சைக்கிள் எழுதி ஆறு ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேல் வைத்திருந்தேன். பிறகு சைக்கிள் செயின் கவர் மாற்றும்போதுதான் அதுவும் மாறியது. அனைத்துக் காட்சிகளையும் ரசித்தேன்.ஆனால் நேர்காணல் காட்சியில் தொலைக்காட்சி நிறுவன எம்.டி எதோ கேட்டதும், “ம்…அரங்கநாதனை கொரங்கநாதனா ஆக்கிட்டான்.” என்று மணிவண்ணன் சொல்லும் உரையாடல்தான் அதிகமாக நினைவில் நின்றது.

பக்கத்து வீட்டுப் பசங்களை நினைவூட்டிய பாய்ஸ்
முதல்வனுக்குப் பிறகு நான் கல்லூரியில் படித்து முடிக்கும் காலத்தில் உங்கள் இயக்கத்தில் எந்த தமிழ்ப்படமும் வரவில்லை. 2003 ன் பிற்பகுதியில் பாய்ஸ் வெளியானபோது பலத்த விமர்சனம். தினமலர் குழுமத்தில் ஒரு தொலைக்காட்சி சேனல் பணிக்கு விண்ணப்பம் செய்திருந்தேன். அந்த நேர்காணலுக்காக நானும் என் நண்பனும் திருச்சி வந்திருந்தோம். வந்த வேலை முடிந்ததும் திருச்சி சோனா தியேட்டரில் படம் பார்க்க முடிந்தது.
உங்கள் படங்கள் ஒவ்வொன்றிலும் பாடல்கள் ரசிகர்களைத் தாளம் போட வைத்தாலும் ஒட்டுமொத்தமாக பார்க்கும்போது பாய்ஸ் பாடல்கள் போல் எதுவும் என் மனதைக் கவரவில்லை.மெலோடியைப் பொறுத்தவரை ஜென்டில்மேனின் என்வீட்டுத்தோட்டத்தில், இந்தியனின் பச்சைக்கிளிகள் இரண்டும்தான் என் சாய்சில் முன்னிலை.
புதுமுகங்கள்தானே என்றில்லாமல் மிகவும் சிரத்தையுடன்தான் பாய்ஸ் படத்தை உருவாக்கியிருந்தீர்கள்.படத்தில் பொய்களும் இல்லை. பிறகு ஏன் நிறைய பேருக்கு இந்தப் படத்தின் மீது இவ்வளவு வெறுப்பு?
இயக்குநர் மகேந்திரன் ஒரு நூலில் எழுதியிருந்ததை இங்கே மேற்கோள் காட்டவேண்டிய சூழலில் இருக்கிறேன். கணவன் மனைக்கும் அந்தரங்க உறவு உண்டுதான். ஆனால் பெரும்பாலான குடும்பங்களில் மனைவி உடை மாற்றும் நேரத்தில் கணவனுக்குத் தடாதான். இந்த நாகரிகம் நம் கலாச்சாரத்துடன் பின்னிப் பிணைந்த ஒன்று. இப்போது நிறைய மாற்றங்கள் வந்திருக்கலாம். ஆனால் வெளிப்படையாக எதையும் ஏற்கும் மக்கள் இன்னும் தமிழ்நாட்டில் மிக அதிக எண்ணிக்கையில் இல்லை.
மேலே உள்ள கருத்தை உணர்த்தும் வாக்கியத்தை இயக்குநர் மகேந்திரன் அவரது நூலில் எழுதியிருந்தார். இந்த உண்மை உங்களுக்கும் எப்பவோ புரிந்திருக்கும்.
எழுத்தாளர் சுஜாதாவைப் பற்றி, இவர் இன்னும் இருபத்தைந்து ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பின் எழுத வேண்டியதை இப்பவே சொல்லிட்டார் என்பார்கள். பாய்ஸ் படமும் அப்படித்தான் என்று கூறலாம்.
ஆனால் இந்த மாதிரி படங்களில் வரும் நல்ல கருத்தை மக்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, தவறானதை ஒதுக்கியிருக்கலாமே என்று நீங்கள் ஆதங்கப்படுவது புரிகிறது. நம் நாட்டு டீன்ஏஜ் குழந்தைகளுக்கு மட்டுமல்ல, பெரியவர்களுக்கும் இன்னும் அந்தப் பக்குவம் வரவில்லை.அதுதான் படத்தை விட்டே சற்று விலகிவிட்டார்கள். எதிலும் தெளிந்து இருப்பவர்கள் பிடிக்கவில்லை என்றதும் அவர்கள் பாட்டுக்கு எதுவும் செய்யாமல் புறக்கணித்துவிட்டு போய்க்கொண்டே இருப்பார்கள். அதிகமாக கண்டனம் செய்தவர்களைக் கவனித்தால் ஒரு தடுமாற்றம் இருப்பது தெரியும்.
சுருங்கச் சொன்னால் வெறுமனே கண்டனம் செய்பவர்களிடம் உருப்படியான செய்ல்திட்டம் இருப்பது குறைவுதான்.

ரொம்பவும் நெருக்கமான அந்நியன்
யானை போவது தெரியாது. பூனையைதான் ஆராய்ச்சி செய்யத்தெரியும்.- என்று ஒரு பழமொழி சொல்வார்கள். இந்தப் படத்தைப் பார்த்தபிறகுதான் பூனை என்று அலட்சியமாக விடுவது எவ்வளவு பெரிய அழிவுகளை ஏற்படுத்திக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது என்று புரிந்தது.

சிவாஜி பற்றி…
யானை படுத்தாலும் குதிரை உயரம் என்று சூப்பர்ஸ்டார் பாபா படம் பற்றி சொன்னார். அதை சறுக்கலுக்கு வேண்டுமானால் உதாரணமாக சொல்லலாமே தவிர வெற்றிக்கான விளக்கமாக சொல்ல முடியாது. இதை தவறாக எடுத்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டாம். இமயத்தின் உயரத்தை நாங்கள் எதிர்பார்க்கும்போது தொட்டபெட்டா சிகரம் போதும் என்பது போல் சிவாஜி அமைந்துவிட்டது. அடிவாரத்தில் நின்று பார்க்கும் போது எங்களுக்கு வேண்டுமானால் அது பிரமாண்டமான உயரமாகத் தெரியலாம். ஆனால் நீங்கள் தொடவேண்டிய உயரம் வேறு.
காதல் படத்தில் சரவணகுமார் சொல்வது போல்,”இன்னும் உங்ககிட்ட நிறைய எதிர்ப்பார்க்கிறோம்.”
எந்திரன் நிச்சயமாக ஒரு மைல்கல்லாக அமையும். ஏனெனில் ஒரு படைப்பாளிக்கு எப்போதுமே சிறந்த படைப்பு அடுத்ததாக உருவாக்கப்போவதாகத்தான் இருக்கவேண்டும்.

Like many others have suggested, I appeal to you to have English subtitles for the films released outside Tamil Nadu so that your films can reach a wider audience. Many non-Indians choose to watch Hindi films instead of Tamil films in the theatres because all Hindi films screened outside India have English subtitles.

Maybe you can break that trend and set part of your film in South Africa – Maybe a period film that looks at the role played by Gandhi or a look at the first settlers who arrived here from Chennai in 1860. There are many stories waiting to be told and you are the kind of director to handle that in the best way.

From media reports we learnt that Sivaji would have been still a bigger hit overseas and in the north if the film would have been subtitled.

It was very inspiring to see the way you worked during the shoots . Especially your dedication, punctuality … a lesson to all youngsters….. Expecting a lot from Endhiran….and am confident that you will give more than what we expect.
BTW, i also saw the movie “Children of Heaven”, quoted by a weekly tabloid as your favourite movie. Really one of the best movies i’ve ever seen till now. Especially the scene where the girl chasing the shoes along the stream was one of the best scenes in film history. I personally want you to direct such kind of movies . . . . I mean a different genre…..esp a Movie for children………

I’m a great fan of Rajni and You. There’s lot of hype and expectation on Endhiran, I’m pretty sure you would exceed all expectations, and will be trend setter in India film industry.

I have followed your movies and like all of them.
I am happy that finally you have created a forum where you could post official pictures this is a very healthy sign.
I believe in this day and age the right amount of interest would be created if the movie posters,stills, promo trailer are released officially and you have done a brilliant job.
So thank you for that.
This is just the idea for the next movie of yours Endhiran as when I travelled to USA last year I visited Time Square in New York.There was this hoarding of some fragrance that could be seen from far off.First thing it hit me was what if the promo of Endhiran was done differently by choosing all the big cities around the world and have posters/hoardings in main places such that it would create buzz for the movie of yours.
I believe Endhiran has the potential to break ground in terms of interest generated and what other manner than to generate the right amount of interest not only to our fans of the Indian Movies(Tamil) but to promote it to world wide audience. I think this could be done and wish you all the best.
P.S: One of the ways of taking the movie to the world wide audience is to provide sub-titles and I missed it in Sivaji The Boss because there is lot of interest in our movies and we should do everything to promote it.

hi sir this is abhijith. sir we are abviously waiting for the movie almost from 2008 plz release it as soon as possible i know the movie risk and time it take for PRE PRODUCTION PRODUCTION POST PRODUCTION but also we r waiting for the movie to see as soon as u release on the most first day iam a big fan for u ur movies are really great in all aspects we can understand the hard work u have done for the movie in every frame every shot really all that u can only do such things sir ok thank you sir bye…………

hi shankar sir..u r rocking in d tamil cinema..i love all ur movies. especially gentleman,indian,sivaji. am very jealous of u tat u spending more time wit my rajni sir for shooting tat i cant. enthiran must really be a phenomenon in indian cinemas. but u wil really make tat. make som powerful fights n gud BGM lik u made in sivaji. this is d fans request sir. please release the movie fast as u can. but take ur own time for making good graphics and animation. bcoz am an animation student i know hw tough is to create an animated scene. u ll definitely rock..!!with prayers

Hi Sir,
Its very great to us to have you in our indian film industry.Hats off to you sir,In all your film there are lot of social issues have taken & analyzed. Thats a good sign to the film industry. Here i need to tell you something which needs Immediate attention for our society,
1. To change the attitude of the people, mindset should be changed to the next level. And this will happen from our next generation, i.e.,from schools, subject pattern should be changed & should be equal to all kind of schools (state board / central).
2. Poilitics style in India should change as it should not be just money earning business, This could be well changed even from our current generation, as there should be some basic criteria which should be strictly followed to enter into politics.
3. Agriculture level is slowly decreasing every year, people think this is not our job. Is it true??
4. Education for everyone, ??
5. Job for everyone, is it possible??
These thoughts are already covered in your films , but after that is there an impact or people taking just for entertainment?? Your films obviously shows entertainment, social responsibility,technical excellence etc., And your next film should be a big success.
Hope I am not taking your time so much , Sir finally I need to say one thing as per our tamil saying as “Thirudanaai paarthu thiruntha vital thiruttai ozlkka mudiyathu..” People please wake up…

Hello sir..”PLS READ THIS MESSAGE FULLY”..I’m a diehard worshipper of THALA AJITHKUMAR..As every one know he is undoubtedly a hardworker a talented actor and a master in doing multi roles and a good hearted human..But only few directors are using him properly..And many are wasting his talent and hardwork..Most of the time his hardwork and talent goes in vain..So i request U to do a movie with my THALA..Pls prepare a story for my THALA and that story should give him a big break through every one should love that movie..I hope it’ll with u directing it..Pls take my request seriously sir..I feel so sad when a movie of AJITH doesn’t do well..Pls these words are from my heart..Do one for my THALA..I hope U do it next to ENDHIRAN..

U diappointed me so much..!Since u have taken shooting in our office(KRISP IT Park(Kaavian Systems)) on 12.02.2010 Friday,But not with our Legend.We are all expected so much to see our thalaiver.But our bad luck its not happened.
Anyway we r so glad that our office is a part of Enthiran.

Dont know what happenned to my previous 2 posts…m not able to see it over here. anyways….. i just have few queries…
when can we see you direct a movie from Novels or stories like Malgudi Days?
why does all our movies start either in morning or night? why has no movie kept the time of sunset as its opening backdrop?
Can we expect a full length comedy movie like Thillu Mullu, Pammal K Sammantham or Mazhalai Pattalam from you(under your direction)?
How would it be if we cast few of our carnatic musicians and playback singers or orchestra group and make a thriller movie involving only the musicians? Would you be able to conceptualize a script for that and direct it too?

How r u. I know u r very busy in the finishing stage of ROBO superstar said recently u vil release the film in july when r u going to release the audio. Wil u release the film in the GCC also because i m staying in bahrain and a fan of thalivar.
