Hi everyone,
As you know I am tied up with lot of final post-production work I couldn’t be in touch with you for a long time. Moreover even a small information and every still of endhiran I posted in the blog created lot of interest and expectations among the audience.
To avoid excessive hype and expectation, I slowed down posting.
Well… except one song the whole film shooting is completed. The full edited film has been given to A.R.Rahman for background score and Resul Pookutty for the sound effects.
Just waiting to shoot the last song and waiting for computer graphics work of the climax and some important scenes to be completed.

Please start releasing the trailers at least 2-3 months before release, which will ensure maximum publicity.
Also, I’d like to know the audio release date. Please make sure that Endhiran doesn’t clash with any of Ash’s Bollywood films because then both the films get affected.
And sir, please make Aishwarya dub in Tamil. She speaks it so well and has such a beautiful voice. Why kill it by dubbing? Also, the Telugu dubbing is not given much importance and justice is not done. So please supervise everything yourself. Take your time, we’re in no hurry. If not 2010, 2011. How much ever time you take, just make sure that the end product is excellent.
Also, do make a song showing Aishwarya’s beauty to the world. Nobody picturises songs as good as you do, so please do the needful. Take care sir!

Sun Pictures is producing this movie…it’s one of the media …So, i doubt , the other media vl giv d news abt endhiran,
Say for xample, if
Red giant movie – either hit or flop : it vl be the top movie n kalaigar..
if Sunpictures – Top in SUn Tv
if captain cine creations – top in captain tv…
if raj video vision – top in Raj Tv
If It’s Jaya tv – then all the above mentioned production vl b in bottom of the table..
i wont believe n these kind of ratings…but, i don want to see Endhiran not in Top1 which never hapd in Rajni’s n Shankar’s career only coz the movie s produced by SUN pictures…

I loove your films. You are one of the best Indian directors among people like Mani Ratnam and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Robot is going to be the biggest hit India has ever seen and North Indians would not stop talking about it!
Sir, I know it is impossible, but just a small request – For the last song, ask Rajnikanth to get a six pack or at least be more fit and also ask Aishwarya madam to lose some weight. That will make them both look younger and they will be the hottest and most beautiful pair with awesome chemistry!

Ive loved Rajini Sir as far as I can go back to my childhood…
I drove 250 miles (Pennsylvania to NewJersey) to watch Sivaji..When I saw the First Half , I felt very sad seeing him aged….I felt a little better during the interval block and was not on my feet during the climax…I just have one request for Robo…Please …Please …Please..do not make us feel he is aged in any frame ….

Hi Shankar, hope ur busy with our Thalaivar’s movie. Well. I came across George clooney movie “Up in the air”. Its an award winning movie hope, u know about that. If u visit that movie site it is simply superb. Why cant we make a site and advise ur technical team to look after that for Enthiran to be made? Hope u can do that and still bring more commercial value and publcity thru networking sites like facebook and twitter.

Sir please release the trailer as soon as possible… Its only for your directual ventures that publicity is done at free by public… You dont create any hype but hype is creating among audience when its shankar’s movie… Such hype is not created for any Indian movie Director except of the Brand name Shankar…
Marketing of an movie is very important – I dont have to tell you as you would know a million times more than me but just a reminder, effective marketting matters, like extensive marketing at multipexs all over India, playing trailers in interval of other movies, interviews in famous TV channels on weekend evenings and there are lot more… Sir as I said your movies dont need marketing as brand name Shankar sells like hot cakes in market but enthiran is 200 crore project and I was to hear that Enthiran kicked all previous BO records….
Sir is the movie going to release in English too? I hope you would reply atleast for this question…

I wish Endhiran team a great success and wish Shankar Sir to get Oscar award for this movie.
I just want to share some information. In the audio launch of Ayirathil Oruvan Parthiban told that he would direct 20 films with 150 crore buget, other directors 10, some others 5, other 2 and he told shankar is only one who directs one film with 160 crores.
It was an awesome reply given by shankar sir:Endhiran would be worth to see 10 movies in a single movie

I would request you to please do concentrate more on Superstar’s make up. When I watched Sivaji, everything was fantastic except superstar’s makeup in some scenes especially the first half of the movie. I just want to see a cute and handsome Rajni Sir in all the scenes of Endiran. Not even in a single scene. I know you would have taken care of it but still one small anbu kattalai from a die hard fan of yours and Rajni Sir.

The addition to your crew from Indian is Sujatha Sir. This movie is a sci-fi movie, Sujatha Sir’s favorite topic. It would have been good if he was alive now guiding you and to watch his dream concepts materialize…

–> Regarding Movie Release – As date is nearing, fans across the world are excited to watch Endhiran. I am at Florida now and would love to specially travel to India back to watch the movies first day first show with Fans and crowd in India (anything for such a Super star-Shankar movie). Please keep us posted in advance to plan. By the way please let us know how many screens are planned for US?
–>Regarding Audio Release – It is better that there is LESSER gap between audio lauch and movie launch. Bigger gap may be disappointing.
–>Regarding Piracy – Already a number of youtube videos portraying the Peru shooting (with the song in background and team dancing) and some theme music files are avaialable and hope more in circulating in internet. Few really seem to be a leak and not duplicate. DEFINITELY it is very important for your team to curb Piracy by some means (like 3D being considered as one option). This can not be taken lightly. We sincere fans would make sure that our family and friend watch the movie in Theatres only for sure. OUR FULL SUPPORT THERE FOR YOU ON THAT. But everyone may not think alike and take care Sir.
–>One suggestion to curb Piracy – One suggestion is that may be you can give a toll free number kind of thing publicly to all fans to notify piracy when noticed and your team can take actions. Please promote such a thing at least(during the release and ads) if considering 3D is not going to resolve the issue. May help to some extent. Some fans may help on this. As Rajesh mentioned, please ask Rajni Sir to dub in Hindi. It is true that we do not get the real feel and satisfaction if someone else lends a voice for him. It sounds funny because Rajni can only know about his style and intonation, others cannot even match it to his standards. All the movies in Hindi like Muthu Maharaja, Shivaji, Dalpti, and others are incomplete without his voice. Everyone recognizes his voice. We know he doesn’t sound like a native speaker but still his voice is unique and could do the magic in Hindi as well…am sure about that…So please pass on this requst to our superstar to dub in Hindi…

I started watching Tamil movies only because of Manirathnam, Kamal and Rajni….. I think, they gave the recognition for tamil movies…. I have started noticing that only a few directors like you, Manirathnam, Bala and Gautam Menon who gives quality films.. Others only aim to make big profits and delivers stupid movies. I wish all the good directors should start blogging like this so that they will know the pulse, likes/dislikes and expectations of their fans and deliver more quality to their films. In that way, you have taken a wise step, hats off to you………
Sir I have a few questions. I hope you would like to reply.
1* What is your opinion about the present standard of Tamil films? Don’t you think they concentrate more on business instead of quality?
2* Why did you choose Rajni again for Endiran? Is that because of the demand of the character or the demand of the people?
3* Why didn’t you remake Endiran in Hindi with the same or different starcast as what Mani did for Raavan?
4* Rajni says Kamal is a better actor than him….Would Endiran prove this statement wrong?

a humble request to u, every fans life to sea the films in the theatre only , but in tamilnadu most of the theatre dont follow the ticket rates which is prescribed by government,
all theatre collect ticeket prices as they wish, so people are fed up with this so people are prefering (tirutu DVDs).
so pls consider it that .all theaters should collect the govt prescribed ticketfares .
so that everyone will come and see the ‘ENTHIRAN’ film in theatre and enjoy.

I’m a big fan of ANY GOOD TAMIL FILM.. (obviously yours included). I’m not saying this just to praise you, but my heartfelt expression.
Perhaps this is my first comment in this site. I thought of sharing this a long way back.
Being a die hard fan of Evergreen Superstar, I feel really proud he has teamed up with such a good director for the second time.
But, some comments on your previous venture SIVAJI the boss made me feel bad. Some said, a director of such quality, who gives more importance to the content, made a film with lot of heroism and little content. However, I liked the film and is one of the most entertaining films I’ve ever seen.
I hear some people say the acting kills of Superstar are not upto the mark and he uses lot of heroism in his films. In fact he is a tremendous actor( E.g. THALAPATHI.. No one can say anhything wrong with his performance.). Unfortunately, people used to see him do such commercial roles and wanted him to continue the same.
But being a real fan of Superstar and good tamil cinema, I would like to see him in a role that would portray his tremendous skills to shut all their mouth.
I know my comments would have nothing to do with the film already on the course of its completion. But, thought of sharing it with you.. That’s it..
I hope ENTHIRAN would satisfy my longing desire..

Hi Shankar, I had seen movies opening in a very big way, i hope to c the same with my thalaivars movie as well, recently Raavan’s premiere was held in London, it was very good to c people screaming and howling, I wish the world premiere of ENDHIRAN can be held in Japan.. And those guys who are thalaivars fans will be pleased a lot.. atleast this can be done to please them a lot.. i wish u wud consider..

Hi sir!
I am not going to ask when you going to release the movie, but a few tips to make the movie to reach each and everyone around the world and make them to see it!
Sir start advertise the movie stills in the internet and mainly in “Yahoo”,”Gmail”,”Google(Home page)”, and Social websites like”Orkut”, “Face book”, “Hi5″, “Twitter”. If we advertise the movie in these websites surely it will make the movie reach to most of the people around the world sir. If possible create a theam in “Orkut”.
And also start the trailer with your name Sir! As “The movie is from the director of ‘Sivaji’, ‘aniyan’, ‘Boys’, ‘Mudhaval’, Etc., with a gigantic voice”. And also Dont put the important scenes in the trailer to reduce the more expectation and Hype as you said sir!
Its just a tip from me! you know what to do.

I am working in Gurgaon (NCR) for the last six years. When I came here, there was no release of Tamil movies in the multiplexes. As I remember Chandarmukhi was the one to get released first and it was followed by one or two in a year. Then came Sivaji. I couldn’t believe that it had a fully packed auditorium in the multiplexes almost for 50 days. Even the Hindi films are not used to be screened for such a long time here.
I watched it on the first day first show and continued to watch it every weekend. The multiplexes would never have seen such a crowd for any film on the first day – that too all TV channels like NDTV were surrounding the audience. The surprising thing was that after the third week the theaters were filled with the Hindi-speaking audience while the movie was not even subtitiled! The success of Sivaji was a big boon to the Tamilians living here because alomost all the Tamil films are released nowadays after Sivaji.
I am now very much eager to see what is going to happen with Enthiran. I am sure that it going to be another proudful event for us.

I hope dubbing,shooting and graphics are all over by now..i just want to know for what we are waiting for….it will be a grt surprise to all if you can advance the release to july…you can do that by compromising few graphics work…
it is not going to affect the movie in any chance…
Ravaan has become a flop due to high expectations and the same should nothappen for this movie by making people wait for long long time…

Im a die hard fan of you, Rajini and A.R.Rahman.
Sivaji, I watched 1st day 1 show in tiruchendur when i was not in chennai during the release day.
Now, few advise to you.
Please dub it in english language to take this movie to international audience and bag all the oscars/grammy/golden globe awards and especially for collecting good revenue in this huge budget movie.
I would to see you to work with my favourite international superstars like will smith, jackie chan, tom cruise etc.,
donot limit yourself within south india or in india. go next step in ur career and make us all pride. A good example is ar rehman. hes not restricted himself within india. i would like to see you too like that performing and rocking internationally.

Hi Shanker, I just watched Endiran. oh my god u r a Genious. u have beated all hollywood movies. some people didnt like it because its not a Rajni movie. but its definitely a Shanker movie. U r da man. i have never seen any english movie with the robotic techniques u used in Endiran. congrats man. u didnt dissapoint most of the people including Mr. Superstar (and Me)
