Hi Everyone,
…….ha… we’ve successfully completed 98.8888% of the film, and the rest 1.1112% is one song and a quarter of another song, will be shot in the first week of September.

I feel ‘Nanban’ has shaped out very well in all aspects… The highlight of the film will be its characters and the excellent performances of the artists in it. Its going to be a treat watching Vijay, Jeeva, Sathyaraj, Srikanth, Sathyan, Illeana altogether… every scene is edited and dubbed till date.

Vijay throwed a wonderful party for the completion of the film and it was so nice that all the artists and technicians of the film gathered; it was a very very relaxing evening full of jolly talks, dance, fun, laughter etc.

Thanks to everyone who wished me on my birthday. My wife threw a surprise party, and it was another wonderful day. Vijay, Vikram, Jeeva, Sathyaraj, Srikanth, K.V.Anand, Lingusamy, Randy, A.M.Rathnam, Harris and Antony were there, surprisingly Superstar called me and wished, and made my day.

I started working on the final edit of the film for the background score and rushing Harris to complete the songs for the audio release.

Anna Hazare’s dream is
every ‘INDIAN’s dream!
Hope this dream comes true!

Nanban 60% Completed!

Sunday, June 26th, 2011

Hi Everyone,

It’s been a long time… Lot of happenings… We were continuously shooting in Europe, Andamans, Coimbatore and Chennai. We’ve finished 60% of the film, we have shot almost all the complicated and difficult outdoor sequences of the film including climax. So far we have edited all the scenes and started dubbing… Again we are going for a long schedule next week at one stretch, and we are going to complete the film. One more good news- Mr. Resul Pookutty is joining again with us for Nanban sound designing.

…When we were shooting at Bharath Engineering College last week, I got a call from Singapore… I thought it must be some relatives or fans… Then I thought may be Rajini sir… Yes… It was him only… I was surprised and happy to hear from him… Ubhayakusalobhari!!! (UBKS)… etc … He was sounding like before… Brisk and energetic… He told he will be back after 45 days taking a complete rest…

He is well!
All Is Well!

Ellaam Nalam!

Friday, March 18th, 2011

Hi Everyone,
We have finished all the college exterior scenes in our 2nd schedule in Dehradun… It’s a visually wonderful campus… It is very interesting & new experience for me to work with Vijay, Sathyaraj, Ileana and almost every actor for the first time… Vijay-Sathyaraj combo is fresh and fantastic… As friends Vijay, Jeeva and Srikanth’s ‘Physics’ & ‘Chemistry’ is working very well, behind the camera too… To say in a cliché, all of them have started living in their roles… I’m enjoying working in ‘Nanban’ which is completely contrast from ‘Endhiran’ in all aspects…

Ellaam Nalam!

Hi Everybody,

‘Endhiran the robot’ film is in theatres now. I couldn’t be in touch with you guys for a long time since I was doing post production, release, theatre rounds and promotional activities till yesterday.

Thanks to everyone all over the world who enjoyed, supported and appreciated the film. Thanks to the press and all medias. I am very happy that the film is appreciated by the critics as well and was given 5 stars in many reviews and 4 – 5 in others. I am delighted with the box-office records south, north and all over the world.

Many stalwarts of the Indian film industry have congratulated me in person & over phone after watching the movie. It’s a wonderful feeling, Aamir Khan after watching the film invited me to his house, appreciated and discussed about the film till early morning with his wife Kiran and Director Rajkumar Hirani.

Hrithik Roshan called & shared his excitement after watching the film. Kamalhassan congratulated by sending flowers to me with a beautiful message.

Kannada director & actor Upendra, Actor Prakasraj and lot of directors, actors and technicians called and conveyed their heartfull appreciation.

The most exciting appreciation came from Director K.Balachandar. He is one who is very successful more than 30 years as a film maker and he is my role model and my initial goal is to achieve atleast 15 years like him in this field. He sent me an appreciation letter which put me in an emotional high. I couldn’t control my tears after reading it. It made me humble & has given me the energy to work even harder. I am attaching his letter here with his permission.
